About The Position

As Inspector at MiniMed, you'll drive compliance by product, process, and documentation audits that uphold our regulatory standards. You'll perform inspections, evaluate conformance to specifications, and deliver accurate reporting — all in support of our commitment to excellence and patient safety. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Sunday: 1st shift (9:00 am) Monday to Thursday: 2nd Shift (2:30 pm) Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds. Uses various measuring devices and testing equipment. Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Performs line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements: 0 years of experience required.
  • Recommended basic job knowledge of production-related systems and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in medical device manufacturing or regulated industry
  • Familiarity with GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and visual inspection methods
  • Proficiency with documentation systems and basic computer skills (MS Office, SAP, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement
