About The Position

Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for a Final Shipping Inspector to join them. You will report to the SR. Operations Coordinator and will have an onsite work schedule Monday – Friday 11:00pm-7:00am in East Aurora, NY.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED.
At least 5 years of related experience in a related technical field.

Responsibilities

Coordinate Final Inspections: Organize and assign inspectors to review products coming from stock rooms before shipment.
Process Inspection Results: Ensure inspected products are cleared for shipping and documentation is complete.
Review Readiness: Check paperwork, contracts, and product condition to confirm readiness for inspection and shipment.
Perform final inspection of the completed hardware for external visual and dimensional features such as: Tie-wire, damage, nameplates, lead length etc.
Review test data sheets for conformance to specifications, legibility, etc.
Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve issues preventing shipments; escalate to manager when needed.
Material Movement: Track and manage product flow from stock rooms through inspection to shipping.
Customer Interaction: Handle transactional communications with customers regarding shipment status or inspection outcomes.
