About The Position

LayerZero Power Systems LLC. is seeking a detail-driven and experienced Lead Final Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality in the final product inspection. This role requires hands-on expertise, leadership capabilities, and a strong commitment to mentoring team members, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement across the Staging Department.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in electrical or power systems manufacturing, with a focus on quality control and final inspection.
  • Proven experience in leading inspection teams and managing workflow in a high-reliability environment.
  • Hands-on experience with LayerZero or similar power distribution systems, including familiarity with critical power applications (data centers, industrial automation, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Inspect final components on power cabinets using 3D models, ensuring accuracy in hardware, labeling, and overall cleanliness
  • Utilize standard hand tools (drills, wrenches, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) to perform and supervise assigned tasks
  • Clean and prepare power cabinets, both interior and exterior, ensuring they meet customer-ready quality standards (e.g., free of paint imperfections, debris)
  • Verify computer documentation from previous departments for completeness and correctness
  • Collaborate with the Staging Department on supplemental tasks to support production flow
  • Assess individual team member strengths and areas for development, fostering growth and maximizing team performance
  • Uphold and ensure compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards across all final inspection operations
  • Provide constructive feedback to the Plant Manager to enhance quality, productivity, and workflow efficiency
  • Oversee inspection schedules to maintain on-time delivery and consistent production output
  • Train and mentor staff on proper tool usage, computer systems, and the eBoss platform to build technical confidence and procedural accuracy
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for PCIs (Process Control Issues), coordinating with engineers and peers to resolve issues efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety protocols
  • Care for and maintain hand tools through routine cleaning, lubrication, and inspection to optimize tool performance
  • Manage inventory levels of parts and materials, ensuring tool and resource availability for daily operations
  • Promptly communicate material shortages to procurement and leadership for swift resolution
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and champion a culture of continuous improvement
  • Co-lead daily production meetings with the Staging Lead, sharing schedules and updates across the team
  • Promote accountability and pride in workmanship while overseeing unit output
  • Track cabinet movement within the department using eBoss software
  • Lead by example in all safety-related practices, reinforcing a proactive and mindful safety culture
