About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Inspector de Calidad. The Inspector is responsible for inspecting raw materials, parts, and/or finished product on production lines. They document any deviations according to product specifications and established quality standards. They follow safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (completed).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing process controls and handling measurement equipment.
  • Good written and verbal communication in Spanish.
  • Intermediate level reading and writing skills.
  • Knowledge to read and interpret schematics.
  • Knowledge related to quality and ISO9001.
  • Knowledge in measurement instruments such as calipers, OGP, CMM, micrometers, etc.
  • Basic statistics knowledge - Basic White Belt.
  • Knowledge and ability to operate the Windows operating system.
  • Ability to interpret and read blueprints.
  • Knowledge in multiple operational processes.
  • Intermediate level math knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge in calibration.
  • Advanced level knowledge in product and/or process inspection.
  • Technical knowledge in health and safety.
  • Knowledge in audits.
  • Knowledge in troubleshooting and testing.
  • Ability to plan daily tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree (completed) in Quality, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and/or Business Administration.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect raw material, parts, and/or finished product ensuring they meet product specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify and document any non-conforming material defects and generate necessary documentation following established procedures from the Quality System and the company.
  • Inspect and document critical dimensional and cosmetic characteristics following corporate standards, product specifications, and/or established deviations (finished product and/or sub-assembly).
  • Develop operational procedures and methods as required.
  • Utilize precision and measurement instruments to verify parts and their components.
  • Notify the immediate supervisor of any deviation or abnormality detected versus established company quality standards.
  • Keep inspection files updated following company-established procedures.
  • Ensure the conformity of measurement and testing instruments following the Calibration Program parameters.
  • Participate and document results of finished product and/or process audits following company-established formats.
  • Audit compliance with the torque program on production lines, if applicable.
  • Perform inventory-related transactions following established procedures.
  • Perform visual or dimensional inspections on the production line, ensuring optimal operation.
  • Refer any product or process abnormality to the immediate supervisor or designated personnel.
  • Keep work areas clean and report unsafe conditions that may affect employee safety.
  • Ensure safety in the work area and ensure compliance with established norms and procedures.
  • Execute Layered Process Audit (LPA) audits and report findings.
  • Participate in Tier I meetings, as required.
  • Comply with established health, safety, and environmental norms and procedures.
  • Actively participate in meetings with department personnel to discuss operational and/or administrative aspects of the company.
  • Comply with the norms, policies, and procedures established by the Human Resources department and the company.
  • Discuss key metrics daily with support and production personnel (safety, quality situations, previous day's production, actions, and IIOT system usage) through the IIOT Dashboard, Visual Display, Tier 1 Board.
  • Maintain and enforce the use of TDM and the PDES system in the manufacturing area through manufacturing floor connectivity.
  • Report problems and anomalies in the Tiers meeting through manufacturing floor connectivity.
