About The Position

Inspector A (#e884) Full-time Irvine, CA Exclusive confidential search — details shared with qualified applicants. You will inspect electronic sub-assemblies and assemblies to ensure products meet specifications and standards, directly supporting production quality and delivery. You will work onsite on a 1st shift (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM) and collaborate with production, assembly, and inspection teams to prevent defects and confirm conformance to IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 where applicable. Your work ensures downstream testing and acceptance proceed smoothly and on schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3 to 6 years of related electronics inspection experience
• Some mechanical inspection experience
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, shop orders, and procedure manuals
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, timely results
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide; compute rate, ratio, percent)
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice To Haves

• J-STD-001 certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of new and repaired sub-assemblies, assemblies, and electronic systems
• Use standard inspection devices, elementary testing equipment, and precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications
• Visually examine solder joints, wiring, cables, and plated areas for defects and uniformity
• Compare assemblies to parts lists and schematics to detect missing hardware or misrouting
• Perform first-article inspections and witness in-process and acceptance testing
• Record inspection data (serial numbers, defect types and percentages, rework required) and calculate defect rates
• Keep inspection workstations and equipment clean and perform light clerical tasks as assigned
