About The Position

As an Inspector at MKS Corporation, you will partner with operation, Engineering, Internal Teams, Sales, Customers, etc. to conduct process audit & inspection of tools & products. In this role, you will report to Sr. Quality Manager.

Requirements

Experience using inspection tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, drop indicators, radius gauges, gage blocks, height gauges, and digital multimeters.
3+ years of relevant experience.
Ability to read blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, for the items listed in the job summary.
Maintain accurate records of inspection activity, including part history records, nonconformance reports, and ship-to-stock requests.
Work with a minimum of supervision and effectively handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Maintain a professional working relationship with internal customers.
Ability to lift material up to 50 pounds.
Good knowledge of measurement accuracy, measurement terminology.
Theory and operation of CMM Coordinate Measuring Machine preferred.
Strong computer skills require the ability to navigate multiple systems to obtain drawings, and enter data.

CMM programming experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Using written procedures perform daily inspection of incoming material and document results.
Move conforming material to the stockroom.
Move nonconforming material to the MRB area.
Support MRB activities.
Move dispositioned material to the proper area.
Complete and process necessary documentation.
Perform detailed first article inspections when and document results.
Interface with appropriate parties, as directed, to address issues noted.
Use computer terminals and networked PCs to access various programs such as the catalog parts book, purchase order information, and part ship-to-stock status.
