About The Position
Inspector 1 performs operational work related to receipt, inspection, grading, shipment, storage, distribution or delivery of products, parts and materials. Loads, unloads, moves or stores items according to routing documents or supervisor instructions. Operates the trimmer tie station. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Requirements
- Ability to operate the trimmer tie station.
- Proficiency in operating inspection stations (cross tie inspection and switch tie inspection).
Responsibilities
- Operates the inspection stations proficiently (Both cross tie inspection and switch tie inspection) at or above target production levels.
- Performs all duties of machine operator and laborer positions as required.
- Completes daily inspection and maintenance report for assigned station and identifies operational issues.
- Performs daily maintenance for assigned station.
- Participates and contributes to company safety program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
