About The Position

Provides technical support to the quality and quality engineering (QE) functions. Conducts quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. Captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards. Recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards. Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks. Develops understanding in an analytical or scientific method or operational process. Works with close supervision. Performs manual tasks according to established procedures.

Requirements

Attending a Vocational / Technical School or internal training program OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience or Skillset
No prior experience needed
Oral and written communication skills.
Mathematical skills.
Computer skills.
Technical expertise.
Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

Assists with repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials.
Supports with inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products according to well-defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements.
Reworks or rejects subassemblies or finished products as required.
Performs audits to ensure standards of quality are maintained.
Accurately documents the results of the inspections and testing.
Coordinates calibration of test equipment and fixtures.
Assists in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocol and checklists.
Requires ability to interpret prints, schematics, and drawings.
