About The Position

As the Inspection Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate inspection activities within our aviation engine maintenance operation. You will supervise inspection personnel, review inspection findings and documentation, and ensure inspection processes are completed accurately and in accordance with approved technical data, company procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. We are looking for an experienced aviation professional with strong knowledge of aircraft engine inspection, quality control procedures, and aviation regulatory requirements who can lead an inspection team while maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in aircraft engine inspection, aviation maintenance, quality control, or a related aviation field.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience in an aviation maintenance or inspection environment.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft engine maintenance and inspection procedures.
  • Familiarity with 14 CFR Part 145 and 14 CFR Part 43.
  • Familiarity with Repair Station and Quality Control procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance documentation and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to review technical data, identify discrepancies, and ensure corrective actions are properly documented.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inspection records.

Nice To Haves

  • FAA Powerplant Certificate.
  • Previous experience supervising an inspection or quality control department within an aircraft engine maintenance facility.
  • Experience working with aircraft engine components and overhaul processes.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily inspection activities for aircraft engines and related components.
  • Ensure inspection tasks are performed in accordance with approved technical data, manuals, drawings, and applicable procedures.
  • Review inspection findings, documentation, and completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure inspection records, router forms, task cards, non-routines, and work orders are completed accurately and maintained according to company procedures.
  • Verify that inspection personnel use only current and approved technical data.
  • Ensure inspection tools and equipment are properly maintained, inspected, and calibrated before use.
  • Monitor inspection processes for compliance with 14 CFR Part 145, 14 CFR Part 43, and applicable Repair Station and Quality Control procedures.
  • Identify discrepancies, non-conformances, and potential quality issues and ensure they are properly documented and addressed.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and production personnel regarding inspection findings and required corrective actions.
  • Ensure aircraft engine parts and components are properly handled, preserved, and stored to prevent damage.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant inspection and work area.
  • Ensure inspection personnel properly complete required sign-offs, including initials, employee number, stamp, and date.
  • Provide guidance and support to inspection personnel to ensure consistent application of company procedures and quality standards.
  • Assist with training and development of inspection personnel as needed.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance throughout the inspection department.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
