About The Position

The Inspection Scheduler plays a critical role in supporting plan review and field inspection operations by coordinating inspection requests and processing permit activity for multiple jurisdictions. This position serves as a key point of contact between city representatives, contractors and field inspectors, ensuring accurate scheduling and exceptional customer service. This is a fast-paced, high-volume position requiring strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving skills.   • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling/software systems (experience with permitting systems is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule inspections for all cities serviced by Bureau Veritas
  • Process incoming inspection requests via phone (80–150+ calls daily) and email (100+ messages daily)
  • Perform permit processing and data entry with accuracy and efficiency
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for contractors, city representatives and internal staff
  • Communicate directly with field inspectors to confirm schedules, resolve conflicts and relay updates
  • Monitor and manage scheduling queues to ensure timely service delivery
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues through effective problem-solving
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within scheduling systems
  • Provide exceptional customer service through maintaining professionalism and responsiveness at all times
