About The Position

The Inspection Operator Lead maintains a safe, productive, and efficient work environment by directing daily operations, supporting production schedules, ensuring compliance with company procedures, verifying accurate documentation, guiding inspection personnel, and promoting accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to direct and motivate a small team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience operating or troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Ability to anticipate problems, make sound decisions, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily inspection operations to meet production goals while maintaining safety, quality, and operational requirements.
• Ensure employees follow NOV Tuboscope Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), QTS procedures, and department work instructions.
• Coordinate daily workflow and communicate production status, operational concerns, and staffing needs to the Shift Supervisor.
• Monitor inspection activities throughout the shift to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met.
• Identify and report production interruptions, equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality irregularities to the Shift Supervisor.
• Verify required inspection reports, production records, and electronic documentation are completed accurately and on time.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and technical support to department personnel while promoting accountability and teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
