About The Position

The Inspection Operator Lead directs daily inspection operations to help meet production goals while maintaining a safe, productive, and efficient work environment. The role supports production schedules, ensures compliance with company procedures, monitors inspection quality, and verifies accurate and timely documentation. The lead provides guidance and technical support to inspection personnel and promotes accountability, communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The position coordinates workflow and reports production status, staffing needs, and operational concerns to the Shift Supervisor.

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to direct and motivate a small team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience operating or troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Ability to anticipate problems, make sound decisions, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily inspection operations to meet production goals while complying with safety, quality, and operational requirements.
• Ensure employees follow NOV Tuboscope Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), QTS procedures, and department work instructions.
• Coordinate daily workflow and communicate production status, operational concerns, and staffing needs to the Shift Supervisor.
• Monitor inspection activities throughout the shift to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met.
• Identify and report production interruptions, equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality irregularities to the Shift Supervisor.
• Verify required inspection reports, production records, and electronic documentation are completed accurately and on time.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and technical support to department personnel while promoting accountability and teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
