About The Position

Posimech is an AS9100/ISO9001 Certified High‑Mix/Low‑Volume Precision Machine Shop with over 45 years of continuous operation. We are a top‑performing supplier supporting major military aircraft platforms, ground‑support systems, Boeing, Airbus, and emerging SpaceX‑related programs. We are seeking a qualified, hands-on, strategic Inspection Manager to lead our quality team, safeguard our zero-defect culture, and ensure our machined parts meet the exacting standards of our OEM customers. As the Inspection Manager, you will oversee all in-process and final inspection operations, ensuring strict compliance with AS9100 standards and customer blueprints. You will lead a team of QC inspectors, manage First Article Inspections (FAIs), and serve as the primary floor resource for GD&T and CMM programming verification.

Requirements

5+ years of quality control management or supervisory experience in a precision CNC machine shop environment.
Advanced blueprint reading, deep understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and proficiency in operating/programming CMM equipment.
Working knowledge of AS9100 Rev. D requirements and standards.
Experience handling customer source inspections, FAIR documentation, and supplier quality requirements.
U.S. Person status (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) is required due to defense/ITAR regulations.

Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and mentor our team of quality inspectors across all shifts.
Maintain and enforce our ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
Personally step onto the floor to perform or assist with First Article Inspections (FAIs) and complex final inspections.
Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities, oversee non-conforming materials, and drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Oversee the calibration of precision measurement tools and CMM programming/operation.
