About The Position

This is an onsite position located in the Formation Department. The role focuses on preventing quality issues in advance and maximizing output (yield, OEE) through the establishment of inspection systems, management of inspection equipment maintenance, improvement of inspection equipment performance, and the introduction of new equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
  • 0 to 3 Years Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Machine Vision Engineering in a manufacturing or automotive engineering environment through an internship, co-op, entry level job role, or similar is preferred.
  • Driven by objectives/KPI’s; consistent; and high personal ownership to upholding accountability to established standards and practices.
  • Ability to use Logical thinking and decision making by focusing on identifying root cause objectively using data, analyzing production results, and following proven problem-solving methods.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical/technical curiosity and mindset.
  • Commitment and desire to learn our complex battery manufacturing processes with the goal of becoming a go-to resource for technical problem-solving discussions.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • MS Office tool-based report writing and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with individuals and teams across the company to achieve team goals and targets.
  • Good computer, Troubleshooting, Problem-solving, Critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations, including stopping work in emergencies, reporting issues, and implementing safety improvements.
  • Inspection machine Preventive Maintenance (PM) management, including planning, work order checks, optimization of PM items, spare parts management, and calibration/MSA management.
  • Inspector equipment improvement activities, such as analyzing failure items, identifying root causes, implementing predictive maintenance, preventing recurrence through failure analysis reports, and requesting improvements from equipment makers.
  • Improving and managing inspection machine accuracy and detection power by monitoring performance, analyzing factors, providing feedback to production and equipment departments, optimizing inspection conditions, and monitoring results of implemented measures.
  • Establishment of inspection information management system, including investment review, system development schedule management, compliance monitoring, and system mass production transfer.
  • Expansion of equipment and dissemination/application of new technologies for inspection, including investment review, setup schedule management, verification of facility production capacity, and mass production transfer after setup.
  • Review/plan of Inspection machine Model development and Model change, including investment and schedule review, H/W production and recipe development schedule management, and recipe status management.
  • Developing Technician skill improvement plan and implementing training courses, along with technician skill matrix management.
  • Establishment and management of inspection machine standards, including specifications, design standards, and IP.
  • Establishment and revision of PFD, BM/PM/PD Manual, including analyzing causes of issues, enacting/revising manuals, and providing training.
  • Developing Competency through participation in training programs, business exchanges, online training, and mentoring.
  • Performing other duties assigned by the superior.
