Responsible for performing inspections, tests and/or audits of parts, units, materials, all levels of assemblies as needed with regards to quality control specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and lists to approve or reject units for in process or final assemblies. Inspects and maintains support documentation and verifies requirements when a nonconformance is identified. Reviews and reports performance data. Ensures in-process and finished products meet quality requirements. Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection. May interface with program quality or supplier quality teams. Acts independently to support peer training with methods and procedures on new assignments. This role serves as the Lead Inspector for floor inspection directs the daily activities of 10-12 employees. Expected to help identify when additional support is needed related to quality inspection.
