About The Position
Upholster chairs and sofas in fabric and leather with 100% quality. This role involves working in a heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors. The position requires the ability to work with minimum supervision and a strong attention to detail to meet production requirements.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Upholstery Procedures
- Must be able to read an order ticket, written in English.
- Must be able to use a staple gun, staple puller, scissors, and regulators.
- Must be able to work safely, neatly, and quickly to meet production requirements.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Strict attention to detail is a must.
- Must be a Team Player.
- Must be reliable.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must have your own reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
- Must have strong communication skills in reading, comprehending, speaking, and writing in English.
- Must be able to transport frames to and from work area.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to walk/stand for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to work in normal conditions of a furniture manufacturing plant which is heated and cooled.
- Must have good vision.
- Must be able to wear required PPE of Safety Glasses and close-toe/close-heal shoes when required.
- Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years’ experience in furniture upholstery.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Responsibilities
- Upholster Inside sections of chairs and sofas.
- Perform own repair work.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
