About The Position

This role focuses on building seats, in arms and in backs, and upholstering various furniture items like headboards, footboards, rails, chairs, dining chairs, sofas, and ottomans. The primary function involves using a staple gun to smoothly attach materials to frames, demonstrating knowledge of upholstery procedures.

Requirements

• Must be knowledgeable in upholstery methods and be able to complete job to quality specifications.
• 1-3 years Upholstery Experience
• English required to read job notes and tickets
• Work in a Piece Rate and hourly production environment.

Responsibilities

• Transports frames to and from workstation.
• Lifts frames onto bucks. Removes frames from bucks.
• Applies materials involved to cover headboard, footboard, ottoman, chairs, sofa frames by using staple gun, staple puller, scissors and regulator.
• Responsible for fixing their own repairs before starting on new piece.
• Must maintain neat and orderly workstation.
• Properly stores tools and supplies at the end of each shift.
• Wears required safety glasses; works safely and reports any unsafe conditions to Department Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
