About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our team in the industrial distribution sector. This role involves supporting the sales process by managing customer relationships, processing orders, and providing product knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. This is a TempToHire position.

Requirements

Minimum of 2-5+ years of inside sales experience (not retail or call center).
Experience in an office setting within a distribution or manufacturing company.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Very computer savvy.
Strong Excel experience.
Strong computer skills.
Professionalism and sense of urgency.

Nice To Haves

Someone with building material or plumbing products knowledge is highly preferred.
Someone that has inside sales for a distribution companies is highly preferred.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is a plus.
Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Epicor).
Mechanical aptitude or technical background.
Experience with inventory and order management systems.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and online platforms.
Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and follow up on pending orders and deliveries.
Provide technical product information and application support for industrial products
Maintain and update customer records and sales data in CRM systems.
Collaborate with outside sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to fulfill customer needs efficiently.
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to increase sales volume.
Handle customer complaints, returns, and warranty issues professionally.
Track sales trends and customer activity to assist with forecasting and inventory planning.
