About The Position

The Inside Sales Professional at Pref-Tech will be responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound phone calls and emails. This role involves understanding customer needs and requirements, routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate Sales and Design Professional (SDP) for further development and closure, and working with customers to ensure a smooth sales process. The Inside Sales Professional will handle most material-only sales and support their designated SDP with Preferred Partner accounts. Additionally, this role provides backup to the Sales Coordinator and SDPs in their absence, demonstrates excellent customer service and professionalism, and develops leads to present additional products to current customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Typing: Net Speed of 35 words per minute
  • Strong client facing experience
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year in sales or security
  • Experience in creating estimates, proposals, and designs
  • Experience in the security industry preferred
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office 365 software tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and assume accountability for assigned sales projects and sales tasks.
  • Maintain and continue to develop sales and design skills and certifications.
  • Support Sales Team in developing, identifying, and cultivating sales opportunities with strategic clients for Structured Cabling Systems, Electronic Security Systems, A/V Systems and Intrusion Detection.
  • Prepare strategic plans regarding daily activities, lead generation, customer contact and structure of calls and appointment and follow-up.
  • Manage leads, deals and contacts in Pref-Tech’s CRM.
  • Prepare proposals and estimates with detailed scopes of work.
  • Facilitate bidding process with estimation/sales team using MS Office.
  • Collaborate with Design/Estimation and Sales and Design Professionals.
  • Identify and resolve client issues.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products and services that Pref-Tech offers.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of a rapidly changing market that comprises the products and services that Pref-Tech offers.
  • Adhere to all HR and safety policies and procedures.
