About The Position

This role combines Inside Sales responsibilities with Warehouse Worker duties. The Inside Sales function focuses on providing product knowledge for building materials such as drywall, insulation, metal studs, ceiling systems, stucco, construction tools, safety items, drywall compound, and accessories. Key responsibilities include taking orders, building customer relationships, using the company computer system for order entry, completing sales orders, and assisting customers with purchases. The role also involves collaborating with outside sales teams, overcoming customer objections, and discussing product features, benefits, pricing, and credit terms. The Warehouse Worker function is responsible for warehouse maintenance, shipping and receiving, product storage, inventory organization, and delivery preparation, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This includes maintaining health and safety compliance, preparing orders, loading/unloading trucks, maintaining inventory controls, organizing the warehouse, ensuring equipment is maintained, operating a forklift, assisting with product storage and material handling, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.

Requirements

Must be a team player, demonstrate attention to detail and have good organizational skills.
Ability to use company computer system to enter orders.
Ability to operate basic office machinery.
Ability to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Requires extended periods of sitting, computer use, and telephone communication.
Frequent use of standard office equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, and other business technology.
May require occasional lifting of office supplies or materials up to 15 pounds.
Ability to maintain focus and productivity while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Maintain health and safety compliance in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
Maintain inventory controls by minimizing material damage and ensuring order accuracy.
Organize the warehouse and manage bin locations to support efficient operations.
Ensure equipment is maintained and operated according to company standards.
Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment as authorized and trained.
Assist with product storage, material handling, and delivery setup activities.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Preparing orders by processing requests, pulling accurate materials, and placing them in the appropriate area for customer pickup or delivery.
Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
Maintaining inventory controls by minimizing material damage and ensuring order accuracy.
Organizing the warehouse and managing bin locations to support efficient operations.
Establishing, maintaining, and promoting high standards of customer service.
Ensuring equipment is maintained and operated according to company standards.
Operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment as authorized and trained.
Assisting with product storage, material handling, and delivery setup activities.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Performing other warehouse duties as assigned.
