About The Position

This role is crucial for customer and vendor relations, handling sales inquiries, processing orders, and supporting the outside sales team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, intermediate computer proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

Previous inside sales or customer service experience (building materials industry preferred)
Blueprint reading and material takeoff experience required (Ability to interpret construction drawings and accurately quantify materials for estimates and orders)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Intermediate computer proficiency
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Must successfully complete a background screen and drug testing prior to hire.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors through phone, email, and other communication channels.
Match customer needs with company programs, prepare quotes, and close sales.
Collaborate with management on new campaigns, programs, and customer initiatives.
Provide accurate product information, pricing, and support in partnership with vendors.
Communicate with outside sales representatives regarding orders, requirements, and customer concerns.
Process and confirm purchase orders with suppliers and manage product transfers between branches.
Operate cash register, enter sales data, and maintain accurate transaction records.
Complete all required paperwork including coding, costing, pricing, and deposits.
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge, pricing documentation, and literature.
Participate in inventory counts and assist with general warehouse operations when needed.
Follow all company safety policies and report unsafe activities promptly.
