Our Ethridge, TN location is currently seeking a Full-Time Inside Sales Specialist to join our growing team. Position: Inside Sales Specialist In this role, you'll be a key point of contact for our customers and vendors, handling sales inquiries, processing orders, and supporting our outside sales team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, an intermediate computer skill set, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (overtime may be required based on business needs).

Requirements

  • Previous inside sales or customer service experience (building materials industry preferred)
  • Blueprint reading and material takeoff experience required
  • (Ability to interpret construction drawings and accurately quantify materials for estimates and orders)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Intermediate computer proficiency
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors through phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Match customer needs with company programs, prepare quotes, and close sales.
  • Collaborate with management on new campaigns, programs, and customer initiatives.
  • Provide accurate product information, pricing, and support in partnership with vendors.
  • Communicate with outside sales representatives regarding orders, requirements, and customer concerns.
  • Process and confirm purchase orders with suppliers and manage product transfers between branches.
  • Operate cash register, enter sales data, and maintain accurate transaction records.
  • Complete all required paperwork including coding, costing, pricing, and deposits.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge, pricing documentation, and literature.
  • Participate in inventory counts and assist with general warehouse operations when needed.
  • Follow all company safety policies and report unsafe activities promptly.
