The primary function of the Inside Sales Specialist is to act as the liaison between Standex Electronics and the customers / accounts to which they are assigned. Correspondence includes phone calls, emails and conference calls regarding purchase orders, price quotes, order status, ship dates, expedite requests, tracking information, invoices, etc. The successful candidate will have solid business acumen, exceptional customer service orientation, problem solving, analytical, and advanced communication and organizational skills. The Inside Sales Specialist is accountable for specific details and requirements for each of their customers. Responsibilities include managing supplier portals (web-based orders / updates), spreadsheets, shipping methods and special paperwork such as commercial invoices, etc. All communication with the customer should be in a timely and professional manner. An ability to work independently and under time constraints is crucial. The Inside Sales Specialist is also responsible for handling inbound calls from potential customers, as well as the proper routing / escalation of these calls.
