About The Position

TechSmart is seeking a motivated, organized, and highly collaborative Inside Sales Specialist to help expand its partnerships with public school districts nationwide. The primary focus of this role is generating and advancing new-business opportunities through strategic district outreach, meeting development, pipeline management, and close collaboration with TechSmart’s sales team. This role involves researching prospective districts, engaging school and district leaders, coordinating sales activity, and helping move opportunities from initial outreach through proposal development and contracting. It is a consultative sales role for someone eager to develop deep expertise in AI education, workforce development, and the K–12 market. As the individual builds product knowledge, market expertise, and sales experience, they will begin taking ownership of selected renewal and expansion opportunities with existing district partners, providing a pathway to develop full-cycle sales experience and grow into more senior responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who combines persistence and strong execution with curiosity, judgment, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in helping schools expand access to future-ready learning opportunities.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or another customer-facing role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, authentically, and professionally with school and district leaders.
  • Ability to establish credibility, develop trust, and sustain productive relationships through consistent follow-through.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple prospects, opportunities, deadlines, and follow-up activities with consistency and precision.
  • Motivated to develop deep expertise in TechSmart’s programs, the K–12 education market, AI, workforce development, and consultative sales practices.
  • Comfortable working within a structured sales process and maintaining accurate, timely CRM records.
  • Proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking responsibility for outcomes while asking for guidance when needed.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a highly collaborative, team-based sales organization.
  • Committed to communicating honestly, treating customers and colleagues respectfully, and doing things the right way for the right reasons.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
