About The Position

Richelieu is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their team. This role is responsible for inside sales development for a portion of the local sales region, primarily serving the cabinet-making industry. The position involves assisting customers via phone, email, and in person, researching and placing orders, and staying updated on industry trends. The Inside Sales Representative will also seek new business opportunities, work with outside sales representatives, and research product solutions for customers. Maintaining Richelieu's Core Values and achieving sales objectives are key aspects of this role. The position operates on a Monday-Friday, day shift schedule and may require lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • Motivated, customer-focused individual, eager to provide top-quality customer experiences
  • Adaptive, responsive to customer and team inquiries, and an excellent communicator by phone, email, and in person
  • Prior inside sales, or customer service experience is helpful, ideally at a desktop of office-based setting
  • Inside telesales experience preferred in the industrial market.
  • Knowledge of woodworking, cabinetry, kitchen/bath design, architectural hardware, or related building materials experience is helpful
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to prioritize tasks, organized, and highly comfortable with technology (uses AS400 database software daily)
  • Strong sense of drive and creativity, ability to communicate persuasively and informatively with all types of customers and coworkers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; must be able to effectively use Word, Outlook , and Excel for daily responsibilities and tasks

Nice To Haves

  • AS400 experience is helpful, but is not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist Richelieu customers by phone, email, and in person at our local branch showroom; research and place orders for our building materials products
  • Learn and stay abreast of products, changes, and trends within woodworking, kitchen & bath design, and cabinet making
  • Seek out new business opportunities with customers via phone, placing orders as well as providing sales quotes
  • Work closely with outside sales representatives with customer orders and quotes; research pricing and availability for various items in multiple product categories
  • Research product solutions for customers to solve field-project issues
  • Maintain and uphold Richelieu's Five Core Values while striving to achieve and surpass our company's sales objectives
