Requirements

  • High School or GED required.
  • 1 year of customer service and administrative experience.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
  • Strong computer ability.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Sales and marketing experience.
  • Office Administration Experience.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good business judgment and discretion.
  • Well organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Strong multitasking skills along with the ability to adapt to changing work environments.
  • Demonstrate ability to learn, retain and articulate product related information and provide unscripted responses on appropriate subject matter.
  • To be able to do your job at ADESA, you must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Salesforce and Tableau experience a plus.
  • Automotive/auction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly and courteously to phone calls, emails, and text messages.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner and report serious issues to management.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and a friendly disposition, greeting customers promptly and courteously.
  • Arrange hotel and flight reservations through the local transportation department.
  • Contact dealers daily via telephone and internet to solicit and develop new buy and sell business, discussing inventory needs, promotions, and upcoming sales.
  • Maintain relationships with current customers and act as a liaison for Outside Sales Representatives, consignment dealers, and auction personnel.
  • Complete a minimum number of calls as set by management and log each call.
  • Perform Sale Day duties, including providing customer service, IF duties, block representation, printing reports, setting up displays, and post-sale reporting.
  • Build strong ADESA.com customer relationships through training and education, matching customer needs to product offerings and educating them on ADESA.com and smartphone applications.
  • Achieve overall sales goals and promote teamwork.
  • Properly use ADESA’s CRM to log calls, run reports, and view dashboards.
  • Communicate with all departments to ensure proper marketing of sale inventory and maximize vehicle exposure.
  • Conduct call campaigns to increase vehicle exposure for specific units and consigners.
  • Educate customers on new and existing services to meet company goals.
  • Respond to and follow proper procedures for employee and customer accidents, injuries, and property damage/loss, reporting all incidents to management.
  • Practice and promote Company Core Values: Integrity, Customer Care, Innovation, Safety, Teamwork, Employee Welfare, Community Involvement, and Fun.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Contact dealers in territory to purchase units and manage aged units on Sale Days.
