Position Summary: Reporting to the General Manager or designate, the Inside Sales Representative will manage house accounts, supporting sales efforts and customer service.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of progressive sales experience in a similar-sized operation; a combination of post-secondary education and experience will also be considered.
  • 1 to 3 years of related industry experience required.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, customers, colleagues, and staff.
  • Comfortable working on computers.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both in and outside of an office setting.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an outbound call center or a related sales position is preferred.
  • Knowledge of online sales platforms is considered an asset.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce tools and analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using social media for business purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales for street and retail representatives.
  • Provide holiday relief for sales representatives.
  • Manage house and C.O.D. customer accounts as needed.
  • Communicate with customers, make outbound calls to potential customers, and follow up on leads.
  • Understand customers' needs and identify sales opportunities.
  • Answer potential customers' questions and send additional information via email.
  • Keep up with product and service information and updates.
  • Create and maintain a database of current and potential customers.
  • Explain and demonstrate features of products and services.
  • Stay informed about competing products and services.
  • Upsell products and services.
  • Research and qualify new leads.
  • Close sales and achieve sales targets.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
