About The Position

Waste Connections is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join their team in Ocala, FL. This is a fast-paced, relationship-focused sales role responsible for customer retention, customer growth, and generating new business opportunities within the market. The role involves retaining, growing, and selling commercial waste and recycling services, working closely with Outside Sales Representatives, prospecting, preparing proposals, cold calling, managing customer accounts, and resolving customer concerns. The representative will also process service requests, represent the company at business events, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of success
  • Business-to-Business (B2B) sales experience preferred
  • Customer retention and relationship management experience
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume sales environment
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong computer proficiency and CRM experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred OR Equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Retaining, growing, and selling commercial waste and recycling services
  • Working closely with Outside Sales Representatives to maintain and expand customer relationships
  • Proactively prospecting, networking, and generating new business opportunities
  • Preparing proposals, bids, and weekly sales activity reports
  • Cold calling prospective customers and following up on leads
  • Managing customer accounts and contract renewals
  • Gathering contract expiration information and identifying growth opportunities
  • Working cross-functionally to resolve customer concerns and service issues
  • Processing service requests, contract documentation, account updates, and customer changes
  • Representing Waste Connections at business events, trade shows, networking opportunities, and community organizations
  • Delivering exceptional customer service that builds long-term customer loyalty
