About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for sales and customer support, responding to customer inquiries and managing sales opportunities that originate primarily from inbound telephone and email inquiries. This role focuses on providing solutions, accurate order processing, and maintaining strong customer relationships while supporting company sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels
  • Manage inbound sales opportunities across all product lines
  • Perform all sales activities required to convert opportunities into billable orders
  • Source products for manufacturers not currently supplied by the company
  • Negotiate purchase pricing with manufacturers for new or non‑standard products
  • Check inventory availability and fulfill orders from stock when possible
  • Communicate with customers in a timely, professional, and efficient manner
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction as measured by customer feedback and surveys
  • Enter quotes and sales orders accurately into sales order processing systems
  • Confirm orders with customers and perform order follow‑up and clean‑up as needed
  • Meet daily expectations for quotes and sales activity
  • Build new customer accounts and maintain accurate customer records
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet customer commitments
  • Perform product and price maintenance and build new part numbers as required
  • Assist with database cleanup and ongoing system maintenance
  • Proactively develop new business through outbound customer calls
  • Perform other duties, tasks, or work as assigned
