About The Position

The Inside Sales Rep (ISR) will work closely with sales leadership regarding day-to-day development and execution of the inside sales strategy. The main objective of this role is to drive revenue and sales growth. The ISR will act as the liaison between the company and the customer, responsible for creating long-term, trusting relationships, developing existing business and actively seeking new sales opportunities. The Inside Sales Representative will utilize customer, product, and industry specific knowledge to engage and grow the customer base.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and minimum of 2 years of work experience in inside sales or related work function.
  • Ability to work effectively in an office environment and willingness to work in the office 3 days per week and 2 days from home.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong communication, listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to develop a solid understanding of products and applications.
  • Requires basic math and order entry skills.
  • Impeccable personal integrity and ethics.
  • A hands-on/can do attitude driven by the will to accomplish tasks.
  • Have the ability to manage challenging or emotional customers in a professional and diplomatic manner.
  • Must be able to identify and assess customers’ needs to exceed their expectations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Works effectively with others by openly sharing ideas, identify with common goals; encourage communication and avoiding conflict.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industrial sales is a big plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business with existing customers and/or qualify new opportunities
  • Coordinate with the Commercial Manager to manage large projects and multi-step opportunities through CRM/Pipeline Report
  • Collaborate with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
  • Periodically prepare and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
  • Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
  • Answer inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
  • Provide information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
  • Ensure orders and samples are entered and shipped accurately and on-time.
  • Responsible for quoting catalog items as well as simple non-stock items.
  • Report weekly updates within territory in regard to new opportunities, wins or losses.
  • Maintain customer database by entering new accounts, maintaining existing accounts and consistently adding relevant notes.
  • Ensure that the Essentra Components service proposition is being executed on a daily basis.
  • Acquire and maintain product knowledge and market trends.
  • Participate in weekly meetings as well as cross functional management meetings.
  • Perform other related job duties as assigned and required.
