About The Position

Baker Home Energy is seeking a motivated and results driven Inside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you’ll drive revenue growth by selling energy management solutions to both new and existing customers. This is a quota-carrying, commissioned sales role where you’ll engage inbound leads, build your own pipeline, and act as a trusted advisor on solar and battery storage solutions. Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of residential inside sales experience with proven success
  • Hands-on experience with solar (PV) systems and battery storage solutions
  • Strong consultative sales skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Experience using CRM platforms and digital sales tools
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable in a commission-based environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – comfortable presenting via phone, virtually or through technology platforms.
  • Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline independently, while collaborating within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Residential Solar or clean energy sales experience
  • Familiarity with California energy programs (NEM 3.0, SGIP, etc.)
  • Experience in related industries (roofing, HVAC, plumbing)

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals for battery storage and energy solutions
  • Respond to inbound leads and develop your own outbound pipeline
  • Conduct consultative sales conversations to assess customer energy needs
  • Present customized solar and battery solutions, proposals, and financing options
  • Educate customers on energy systems, incentives, and savings opportunities (TOU, SGIP, NEM 3.0)
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional services (roofing, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless post-sale experience
  • Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline tracking in CRM systems
