About The Position

We are seeking a customer-focused and driven Inside Sales Representative to support our equipment rental business. This role is responsible for managing inbound inquiries, generating rental quotes, coordinating orders, and ensuring an excellent customer experience from initial contact through rental completion. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong communication skills, and is comfortable balancing sales support with operational coordination.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or equipment rental industry preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of sales processes and closing techniques
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and CRM/ERP systems

Nice To Haves

  • associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with equipment rental is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound calls, emails, and online inquiries regarding equipment rentals
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate rental equipment
  • Generate and follow up on rental quotes to drive sales and close business
  • Process rental orders accurately and efficiently
  • Coordinate equipment availability, delivery, and pickup with operations and logistics teams
  • Ensure all documentation, contracts, and billing information are completed correctly
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Proactively follow up on open quotes and customer inquiries
  • Support account growth through upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Monitor equipment availability and communicate timelines to customers
  • Partner with yard/warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory tracking
  • Maintain accurate customer and order information in CRM/ERP systems
  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and key performance metrics
  • Assist with reporting and data entry as needed
  • Work closely with outside sales, operations, and service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment
  • Support team initiatives during peak rental periods
