About The Position

Eastern Industrial Supplies, located in Charleston, SC is looking to hire a full-time Inside Sales Representative to help drive the Industrial PVF business for our company. Eastern Industrial Supplies specializes in the quality distribution of pipes, valves, and fittings (PVF), as well as commercial plumbing products. We opened our doors in 1980 in Greenville, SC and our growth has led the company into the Southeast markets of SC, NC, GA, TN, AL, and FL. We focus on exceeding customer expectations and honoring God in all we do by: caring for people, continuously improving, and growing profitably. Requirements

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in writing orders or providing quotes for customers
  • Experience in Industrial Distribution - (PVF) Pipe, Vales, Fittings, and commercial plumbing products
  • Have a great attitude!
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks while demonstrating good time management

Responsibilities

  • Play an essential role in maintaining stellar customer and vendor relationships to help our business thrive.
  • Work in Counter Sales where you can increase sales and customer satisfaction by efficiently and courteously assisting walk-in and telephone customers in the selection and acquisition of needed products.
  • Apply technical knowledge to satisfy customer needs.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturer representatives to streamline order processing.
  • Consistently review our queue and ensure information is kept accurate to keep track of order statuses and customer requirements.
  • Handle expedited orders to make sure they are fulfilled promptly and delivery dates are processed.
  • Take care of the required paperwork in a timely manner when a product or material is returned and issue credits to customers in accordance with our policies.
  • Educate yourself on all company products to help customers make well-informed decisions.
  • Stay informed on active marketing programs to provide accurate responses to customer inquiries.
