About The Position

This full-time, entry-level Inside Sales Representative position at Cash-Wa Kearney in Kearney, NE, involves assisting customers primarily over the phone. Key responsibilities include answering product questions, placing orders, processing credits, identifying delivery dates/times, and addressing billing inquiries. The role also requires making outbound calls to existing customers to support the Outside Sales team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service, phone, and computer skills, and will work within a food distribution company serving clients across multiple states.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Outlook/Excel/Word familiarity is desirable
• Advanced education is preferred
• 2 years of administrative or sales experience is desired

Responsibilities

• Take incoming customer calls in a professional manner that portrays the company as friendly and helpful
• Research questions regarding credits and ensuring they are accurately logged and processed
• Look into missing items from an order, conferring with other departments on it
• Assisting with the plan to get them what they need in a timely manner, reviewing routes and delivery schedules
• Assist in billing questions, asking the right questions to forward to the appropriate contact person for their situation
• Gain product knowledge to better assist customers and be able to suggest products
• Become familiar with assigned Multi-Unit accounts, regularly reviewing orders and identifying potential issues
• Make outside calls as needed to assist the Outside Sales team
• Be proficient and accurate with the order systems
• Other duties as assigned including occasionally covering the front desk for lunches and time off
