About The Position
Inside Sales provides technical assistance to customers and outside sales teams. The position is responsible for making product recommendations based on customer application; interpreting plant specifications; securing project take-offs; preparing quotations; tracking projects; processing orders; and many additional tasks as required that contribute to the improved efficiency of our customer base.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Candidates must be able to work within a team organization, multi-task, meet deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with Prophet21 (P21) or similar CRM/ERP systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop thorough technical understanding of products and applications.
- Provide solutions to customer’s applications.
- Provide technical support to sales team and customer base for daily requirements as well as project opportunities.
- Assist customers with material specification, take-off & selection.
- Determine pricing and margins.
- Prepare quotations, process orders, follow order to ensure critical delivery dates are met.
- Work with procurement and finance departments as needed.
