Inside Sales Representative (HVACR)

About The Position

Copeland is looking for a sales-minded individual to help identify and understand industry trends and customer pain points, and determine the best customer solution that leverages the Copeland controls and services portfolio. This role can be performed remotely from the Quebec or Ottawa regions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with HVACR experience, or a college or university degree/diploma in a technical or engineering discipline. An equivalent combination of HVACR experience and education will be considered.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel as needed, including up to four annual visits to the Brantford office for training and quarterly customer ride-alongs with the assigned Account Executive.
  • Three to five years of HVACR industry experience.
  • Professional proficiency in both French and English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce, Oracle, and Sigma.
  • Experience supporting OEM and/or HVACR wholesaler customers.
  • Experience working with technical and commercial teams to develop customer solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Become proficient and have a thorough understanding of all products and solutions within the HVACR and Controls portfolio.
  • Use Salesforce to track major sales opportunities and develop and maintain the sales funnel and customer contacts.
  • Attend applicable educational and product training events, either virtually or in person. Annually, there will be up to four in-person events in Brantford or customer training events within the assigned territory.
  • Provide inside sales support for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and HVACR wholesaler customers assigned within the province of Quebec.
  • Provide sales support for the sales team, including preparation of presentation materials and data collection.
  • Work closely with the sales team and engage with internal technical subject matter experts where needed.
  • Conduct discovery conversations with existing and prospective customers to understand their needs, budget, timeline, and business objectives in order to recommend the appropriate solution.
  • Identify potential new customers and develop strategies to grow business within the assigned territory.
  • Act as the bridge between technical and commercial teams, internally and externally, with a focus on delivering customer value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new customer solutions.
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, and best practices.
