Carrier is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Engineer to join their Syracuse, NY office. This role will provide pre-sale and post-sale support to top-tier customers within the Commercial Strategic Accounts Sales organization. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of HVAC experience OR Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of HVAC experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% domestically.
  • Must have a developed understanding of HVAC systems, equipment and controls.
  • Must be a self-starter, with strong business understanding, strong self-direction, and excellent interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • 5+ years of HVAC experience including residential, light-commercial and commercial Applied Equipment.
  • Sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication, and sense of ownership.
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills with the ability to get along with both external customers and a multi-functional team of sales, engineering, manufacturing & marketing associates.
  • Outstanding follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to prioritize multiple priorities.
  • Unwavering customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Review and assist with plans and specifications to develop HVAC systems solutions.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate requirements with customers and internal teams.
  • Adapt to customer specific requirements.
  • Provide HVAC equipment selections, both new and replacements.
  • Provide technical support for the sales of commercial air conditioning systems to customers and their respective consulting engineers.
  • Seek new business opportunities by responding to RFI’s, RFP’s, RFQ's for new and/or existing customers.
  • Coordinate across multiple functions, maintain composure in fast-paced situations, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support Sales Managers and Sales Coordinators with new and existing accounts and the introduction of new products.
