Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required for this role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude or technical inclination and the ability to understand and work with complex technical or mechanical specifications are essential for success in this position.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales or customer service role, ideally within a manufacturing or technical environment.
  • Strong computer skills are required to manage daily tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft AX is a plus.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to new processes, technologies, and work environments.
  • Understand customer needs and provide high-quality service through clear and effective communication.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail from order entry to fulfillment, maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain efficiency and organization while managing multiple orders and quotes.
  • Use data to understand market trends and find opportunities for business growth.
  • Work effectively in teams and manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Build teamwork and cooperation across departments.
  • Show strong skills in resolving issues and overcoming challenges.
  • Consistently perform duties with responsibility, dependability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work for prolonged periods sitting at a desk and on a computer, with the capability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Complete hands-on training, including time in a manufacturing environment to develop practical knowledge.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the company's products and services, including features, benefits, and technical specifications.
  • Assist customers by offering technical information and guidance to help them select the appropriate products for their needs.
  • Handle sales calls from existing customers regarding product details, pricing, order status, or delivery confirmation.
  • Reach out to existing customers via phone calls, emails, and other communication channels to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Enter orders and quotes for both stock items and custom-manufactured components and systems.
  • Work with Outside Sales representatives on open opportunities within their sales territories to drive customer growth.
  • Review sales figures and market trends to identify potential areas for growth and improvement.
