About The Position

Gulfeagle Supply is searching for a personable individual with a passion for people and a strength in sales. Gulfeagle provides our sales team with the tools to excel in their ability to serve the customer and effectively build their career. In the Inside Sales position, you will work with the Territory Manager and the Branch Manager to ensure we provide the highest quality building products to our customers while delivering excellent customer service and the processing of the various types of customer orders and sales.

Requirements

  • Read, write, and comprehend English or Spanish as required by the branch location.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • All new hires must complete pre-employment background check and drug test

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred knowledge of roofing material and/or construction and distribution.
  • Bilingual- Fluent in Spanish and English
  • 3+ years inside sales experience in related industry

Responsibilities

  • Develop timely and accurate information regarding prices and competitors’ strategy. Maintain awareness of new products and systems and the aptitude for developing counter and winning sales strategies.
  • As required by the manager, develop job information from various and numerous sources in order to develop quotes and job leads.
  • Act as a consultant with regard to the characteristics, uses and benefits of the entire line of products that can be used in the marketplace. Knowledgeable on non-commodity & specialty products.
  • Provide courteous service to encourage non-buying customers to do business with Gulfeagle, and partial buyers to make us their main supplier. Offer credit applications to prospects and help expedite the process.
  • Keep an organized work area and make the most efficient use of time.
  • Cooperate with credit functions and communicate accurate and credible information. Responsible for his/her own cashbox. Follow check acceptance procedures (currently NCT).
  • Anticipate the needs of the Territory Manager and provide support, product availability, pricing, delivery information and free up the Territory Manager to make more customer/prospect calls, which make for better sales coverage.
  • Make use of “downtime” productively with activities such as telemarketing, organizing showroom, sample room, etc.
  • The ability to build and develop relationships by greeting customers as they enter our place of business, then having the ability to develop that into a long-term relationship. Ability to work positively as a team member with all employees.
  • Effectively quote pricing to customers, follow-up, and file quotes.
  • Analyze sales opportunities and take decisive action in a timely manner.
  • Reflect a genuine positive attitude and desire to assist customer/prospects to make a sound purchasing decision. Secure prompt responses to customer inquiries. Solicit new customers and procure additional business with existing customers by prospecting.
  • Responsible for loading or assisting in loading and securing materials on trucks daily.
  • Assists in verifying the quantities of materials for accuracy.
  • Assists driver in locating the job site.
  • Spot driver when backing up into a job site.
  • Direct driver in placement of the conveyor.
  • Unload or assists in unloading materials by using forklift crane, conveyor and/or by hand. (May require walking varying distances based on job site conditions.)
  • Responsible for climbing up to a 40-foot ladder to deliver materials on a pitch of up to an 8/12 roof.
  • Ensure proper stacking and distribution in the placement of materials on the roof.
  • Ensure truck is properly equipped for delivery including filling cooler, strapping materials, loading ladder, and other as needed.
  • Responsible for OSHA compliance as it relates to oneself and t company.
  • Assist in taking inventory quarterly or as needed.
  • Maintain warehouse, yard, and trucks in a proper presentable manner. Minor repairs as needed.
  • Responsible for the safe handling of materials including wearing back brace, gloves, shoes, and other safety devices as appropriate. Responsible for aiding in the safe operation of vehicles as it relates to the customer’s property and Gulfeagle’s property.
  • Aiding Customers with materials, reporting problems with deliveries, service issues, and all other as needed.
