About The Position

Gulfeagle Supply is seeking a personable individual with a passion for people and strength in sales. The Inside Sales-Delivery Material Handler works with the Territory Manager and Branch Manager to provide quality building products, excellent customer service, and accurate processing of customer orders and sales. The role combines inside sales and customer relationship development with material handling and delivery support. Duties may include additional tasks as requested, and reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

Read, write, and comprehend English or Spanish as required by the branch location.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Complete a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Safely handle materials and perform the stated delivery and roof-access duties, including climbing ladders up to 40 feet and walking varying distances at job sites.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of roofing materials, construction, or distribution.
Fluency in both Spanish and English.
Three or more years of inside sales experience in a related industry.

Responsibilities

Develop timely, accurate information about prices and competitors’ strategies; stay aware of new products and systems and develop sales strategies.
Develop job information from multiple sources to prepare quotes and identify job leads as required by the manager.
Advise customers on the characteristics, uses, and benefits of the product line, including non-commodity and specialty products.
Encourage prospective and partial-buying customers to do business with Gulfeagle and offer credit applications, helping expedite the process.
Maintain an organized work area and use work time efficiently.
Cooperate with credit functions, communicate accurate and credible information, manage one's own cashbox, and follow check acceptance procedures.
Support the Territory Manager with product availability, pricing, and delivery information, helping enable customer and prospect calls.
Use downtime productively, including telemarketing and organizing showroom or sample-room areas.
Build customer relationships, greet customers, and work positively with all employees as a team member.
Quote prices, follow up with customers, and file quotes.
Analyze sales opportunities and act in a timely manner.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries, prospect for new customers, and develop additional business with existing customers.
Load or assist with loading and securing materials on trucks; help verify material quantities.
Assist the driver in locating job sites, spot the driver while backing, and direct conveyor placement.
Unload or assist with unloading materials using a forklift, crane, conveyor, or by hand; walk varying distances depending on job-site conditions.
Climb ladders up to 40 feet and deliver materials to roofs with pitches up to 8/12; stack and distribute materials appropriately on roofs.
Prepare delivery trucks by filling the cooler, strapping materials, loading the ladder, and completing other needed preparations.
Comply with OSHA requirements applicable to the employee.
Assist with quarterly or as-needed inventory counts.
Maintain the warehouse, yard, and trucks in presentable condition and perform minor repairs as needed.
Handle materials safely using appropriate protective equipment, and help ensure vehicles are operated safely around customer and company property.
Assist customers with materials and report delivery problems, service issues, and other concerns.
