About The Position

Founded in 1901, Feeser’s, Inc. is a family owned and operated full-line foodservice distributor located in Harrisburg, PA servicing the Mid-Atlantic region. Feeser’s provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions. The Inside Sales Clerk is responsible for managing assigned customer accounts including order placement, resolving customer service issues, identifying opportunities for sales growth and all other facets of servicing accounts. THIS JOB WILL BE AN ONSITE POSITION IN HARRISBURG, PA

Requirements

  • Ability to quickly find and resolve customer inquiries
  • Dependable and punctual time management skills
  • Strong writing and math skills with attention to detail
  • Empathy and the ability to take initiative for the customer
  • Strong problem-solving skills ­with the ability to creatively resolve tricky situations
  • Ability to work in a fast-­paced environment, subject to rapid change and uncertainty
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years' experience in a customer facing sales role (required)

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years’ food service experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Build strong customer relationships to understand their needs, tailor product offerings and remain responsive to changing customer goals, and align with Feeser’s value and products
  • Manage each day towards exceeding inside sales goals for customer orders, customer service resolutions and prospective customer calls
  • Enter customer orders into ERP order management
  • Inform customers of current promotions and events and recommend additional and complimentary products
  • Identify and target potential customers through various channels, including inbound calls, outbound calls and emails
  • Use CRM tool to document client interactions and track progress and prepare analytics for review
  • Provide regular updates to management on progress toward sales goals and key performance metrics
  • Work closely with the marketing and outside sales teams to support campaigns and follow up on marketing leads
  • Share market insights and customer feedback with the team to improve strategies
  • Supply positive, fast, and complete support resolutions to customers via various access channels such as telephone, voicemail, email, Microsoft Teams, and online chat.
  • Adapt your communication approach by customer to best solve their challenges, staying up to date on industry knowledge to share your expertise as a trusted resource
  • Project a professional company image through phone, email and instant message interaction
  • Know the product catalog in order to assist customers with product suggestions and alternatives
  • Answer all incoming concerns/needs from all customers
  • Provide customers with invoice copies upon request
  • “Sit in” for reps when they are out of the office, including answering their phone and emails, processing orders, and servicing the accounts in their zone
  • Monitor orders before the cut-off time for next day delivery
  • Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor
