About The Position
Inside Sales Associate (HVAC) – Conklin Metal Industries 📍 Tampa / Pinellas Park, FL | 9950 28th Street North, Pinellas Park, FL 33782 🕒 Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Between the hours of 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM 🚀 Join a New, Rapidly Growing Branch! This is a unique opportunity to help build something from the ground up. Conklin Metal Industries is opening and expanding our Tampa branch, and we’re looking for an Inside Sales Associate who wants to be part of a growing team, make an immediate impact, and grow their career alongside the branch. About Conklin Family-owned since 1874, Conklin Metal Industries has grown to 18 branches across the Southeast. We are a trusted supplier to HVAC and sheet metal contractors, providing everything needed to build and install duct systems. Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of HVAC industry experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, Word, and Excel
- Strong typing and data-entry skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Prophet 21 / P21 preferred)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Flexible and willing to support multiple roles as needed
Responsibilities
- Handle customer sales via phone, email, text, and walk-ins
- Answer incoming calls and route or assist customers appropriately
- Enter orders, quotes, and sales transactions accurately
- Serve as the liaison between the branch and Territory Managers
- Support Territory Managers with quotes, order entry, and product sourcing
- Initiate and support new customer account setups
- Capture and communicate customer-specific needs (delivery requirements, preferences, etc.)
- Support inventory by communicating product needs and demand trends to the Branch Manager and Replenishment team
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth information flow
- Assist with multiple branch needs and jump in wherever help is needed
