Requirements

  • Two/Four year degree, preferably in a technical field.
  • related customer service or sales experience.
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Proactive calls to current and prospective customers to initiate an in-person meeting for local Outside Sales team members.
  • Receive and respond to phone, e-mail, and web-based inquiries regarding technical data/support, price, and delivery, from customers.
  • Complete proactive open quote follow-up or new product information phone calls.
  • Strategize with business development team to increase visits and sales.
  • Support new business development activities by follow-up phone calls on sales leads, as required.
  • Back-up Inside Sales team with phone calls and email support as needed.
  • Must address customers’ issues and ensure effective and responsive problem resolution.
  • Assist customers with order clarifications, including, but not limited to, shipping, invoicing, payment terms, freight terms, quantity, model codes, and resolving credit holds.
  • Maintain Strategic pricing templates and pertinent “Attention Tab” notes in customer accounts.
  • Contact the OFG group for assistance/scheduling on special lead-time items.
  • Call and email Customers to confirm availability and send invitations for appointments with Outside Sales.
  • Update customer information based on the quality of visits and reschedule or cancel appointments.
  • Use leads from Marketing, trade shows, and email blasts to set up appointments and/or provide customer quotes
