About The Position

The Inside Sales and Front Desk position is a pivotal role within our manufacturing company, serving as the primary point of contact for customers and visitors while driving sales growth through effective communication and relationship management. This role requires balancing front desk administrative duties with proactive inside sales activities to support the overall business objectives. The successful candidate will manage inbound inquiries, process orders, and coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Additionally, this role involves maintaining accurate records, managing schedules, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the company’s reputation. Ultimately, the position contributes to streamlining operations and fostering strong client relationships that support sustained business growth.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in inside sales, customer service, or front desk roles, preferably within manufacturing or related industries.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience using CRM software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customers and team members.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment or familiarity with manufacturing processes and terminology.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Additional training or certification in sales techniques or customer relationship management.
  • Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish-English, to support a diverse customer base.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors and customers at the front desk, providing a professional and welcoming experience.
  • Handle inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, qualifying leads and guiding customers through product offerings.
  • Process sales orders accurately and coordinate with manufacturing and shipping departments to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Maintain and update customer records, sales reports, and inventory data using company CRM and ERP systems.
  • Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and support internal communication between sales, production, and management teams.
  • Resolve customer issues and escalate complex concerns to appropriate departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies to support daily operations.
