About The Position

We are seeking a driven Federal Inside Sales Account Representative to support growth within the Federal market by selling innovative technology solutions from Cisco and leading OEM partners, including HPE, HP, Palo Alto Networks, Crestron, Extron, Dell EMC, and Microsoft. In this role, you will manage quotes, pricing, and purchase orders while maintaining accurate customer data and delivering responsive, professional service. Strong Excel skills are essential for day-to-day operations. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously, and effective collaboration with customers, internal teams, and manufacturer partners to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction. This position is based onsite in our Ashburn, VA office. Only local applicants will be considered.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of Inside Sales or Account Management experience in the Federal VAR environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize tasks and perform well under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Identify and align Tier I and Tier II vendors and services with customer requirements, including Cisco, HPE, HP, Palo Alto, Crestron, Extron, DELL/EMC, and Microsoft
  • Provide accurate, timely product information, pricing, credit terms, and applicable rates to both existing and prospective clients
  • Efficiently manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously, ensuring accurate data entry and updates within the company's sales communication software
  • Will quote and sell our vendors� products and professional services to state and local agencies, school districts, and higher education institutions
  • Actively participate in vendor product training sessions and meetings to stay informed on the latest offerings and industry developments
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive records of customer inquiries, concerns, feedback, and complaints within the designated tracking system
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing prompt, courteous, and professional service.
  • Collaborate with customers, warehouse operations, service teams, and manufacturer technical support to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Manage personal workflow efficiently, proactively resolving issues and seeking guidance from supervisors when necessary
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the team and organizational goals
