About The Position

Responsible for performing a variety of duties related to ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction at Shepherd’s Crook Golf Courses. This part-time, non-exempt position is supervised by the Golf Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Fundamental knowledge of inside golf operations and the delivering of exceptional guest services required.
  • Computer skills required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • A reliable source of transportation is required.
  • Seeing: To view a computer monitor and other written material.
  • Hearing: For safety awareness, to effectively communicate with public and staff.
  • Speaking: To effectively communicate with public and staff.
  • Sitting: To operate computer, attend meetings, etc.
  • Standing: To observe patrons and staff.
  • Walking: To stage golf carts, etc.
  • Handling: Writing instruments or computer keyboard, cash register.
  • Running: Running maybe required to assist a guest.
  • Lifting: Lifting maybe required to move supplies and equipment.
  • Stooping: Stooping maybe required to help a patron, clean facility or pick up supplies or equipment.
  • Climbing: To climb ladders, hills and stairs.
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to recognize and demonstrate sound safety measures.
  • Ability to reason; process information and make informed rational judgements.
  • Employee is responsible for understanding the importance of safety issues, rules, policies, and to comply with said rules and policies.
  • Report unsafe conditions and document incidents or accidents as per Zion Park District policy.
  • Work to achieve goals and objectives of the Safety Committee of Zion Park District.

  • Golf tournament, league management and World Golf Handicapping is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests on the phone and in-person in a friendly manner while projecting a professional image.
  • Check-in golfers and communicate information to the Starter and other staff as needed.
  • Maximize daily sales through the effective management of the tee sheet.
  • Reconcile daily sales, league registrations, event entries, etc.
  • Assist Outside Service staff as needed.
  • Assist Food and Beverage staff as needed.
  • Assist Golf Maintenance staff as needed.
  • Effectively communicates, both verbally and in writing with supervisor, staff and public.
  • Ensures that the building and work areas are maintained and organized professionally and in a positive and safe atmosphere.
  • Responsible for understanding the importance of safety issues at the Park District, for adhering to the safety manual and associated policies toward achieving the safety goals of the Park District.
  • Follow procedures for opening and closing the facility.
