We are seeking a customer-focused, driven Inside/Counter Sales Associate to support our Cincinnati location. This role is the backbone of our daily customer interaction. You will own order processing, product recommendations, and relationship building with contractors and service professionals. You’ll play a direct role in driving branch sales while developing technical expertise and long-term customer partnerships. Candidates with experience in hardware retail sales, wholesale distribution, building materials, construction products, industrial supply, refrigeration, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, or other mechanical product environments are encouraged to apply!

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of sales, counter sales, customer service, or distribution experience
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical products
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Team-first mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC/R, filtration, ventilation, mechanical, construction, industrial supply, building materials, plumbing, electrical, or related industry experience preferred
  • Experience working with contractors, tradespeople, maintenance professionals, facilities teams, or construction customers is a plus
  • Experience selling or supporting HVAC, refrigeration systems, fans, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, building materials, tools, or other mechanical products preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth by supporting existing customers and developing new account relationships
  • Process orders, quotes, and returns accurately via phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Recommend HVAC/R and filtration products based on customer needs and applications
  • Provide technical support and product guidance to customers and team members
  • Act as liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment
  • Proactively follow up on quotes and open orders to close sales opportunities
  • Support outside sales team with quotes, sourcing, and account development
  • Maintain showroom merchandising and ensure product availability
  • Assist with inventory tasks including receiving, stocking, and order pulling
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally
