About The Position

GigaKOM is seeking a motivated Inside Account Manager to support client relationships, drive sales activity, and help expand our customer base. This is a fully remote position ideal for a relationship-driven sales professional with experience in technology sales, account management, quoting, vendor coordination, and customer follow-up. The Inside Account Manager plays a key role in supporting revenue growth, maintaining strong client relationships, managing account activity, and assisting with sales execution across assigned accounts. This role works closely with Account Executives, Sales Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and vendor partners to support customer needs, prepare quotes and proposals, follow up on opportunities, and maintain accurate account records. This is a full-time remote position for a motivated sales professional who can manage account activity, support client needs, and contribute to revenue growth across Western U.S. markets. The ideal candidate has technology sales or account management experience, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of sales, inside sales, customer service, or account management experience
  • Experience in technology sales, IT products, infrastructure, networking, cloud, security, or related fields preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities, and follow-up activities
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM tools, and business communication platforms
  • Ability to maintain regular overlap with U.S. Pacific Time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting SLED, K–12, higher education, government, or public sector accounts
  • Familiarity with technology vendors such as: Cisco, Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba, Extreme Networks, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Microsoft
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement processes, RFPs, RFQs, bids, and cooperative purchasing
  • Experience working with distributors, vendor pricing programs, and deal registration
  • Experience with CRM or PSA platforms such as Autotask, NetSuite, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an inside sales contact for assigned Western U.S. clients
  • Maintain regular communication with IT leaders, procurement teams, business contacts, and customer stakeholders
  • Support existing customer relationships through timely follow-up and professional communication
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts
  • Partner with outside Account Executives on account strategy, territory planning, and customer engagement
  • Help maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and customer correspondence aligned with client needs
  • Follow up on active opportunities, pending quotes, and customer requests
  • Support pipeline development and opportunity progression
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline tracking, and forecasting information
  • Contribute to assigned revenue, gross profit, and margin objectives
  • Assist with renewal opportunities, add-on sales, and customer expansion initiatives
  • Work with distributors, manufacturers, and technology partners on pricing requests
  • Gather product information, availability, lead times, and deal registration details
  • Coordinate special pricing, discounts, and vendor programs where applicable
  • Support RFP responses, bids, and compliance documentation
  • Ensure timely and accurate quote turnaround for customers and internal sales teams
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, account notes, opportunities, contacts, and follow-up tasks
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Operations on order status, product availability, and customer updates
  • Support order handoff and communication between Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Project Management
  • Track customer requests, open items, and next steps to ensure timely completion
  • Help improve sales process consistency and documentation
  • Respond to client questions regarding quotes, product information, renewals, and order status
  • Coordinate internal resources to address customer needs
  • Support customer-facing communications with professionalism and urgency
  • Escalate issues or opportunities to Account Executives and leadership when needed
  • Build trusted relationships through consistent and reliable follow-through
  • Continue developing knowledge of enterprise IT products and solutions
  • Learn about networking, wireless, cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure technologies
  • Stay current on vendor programs, public sector purchasing, and technology trends
  • Participate in sales training, vendor training, and internal enablement activities
