Inside Account Executive

VergeSense•San Francisco, CA
•$70,000 - $75,000•Onsite

About The Position

We're looking for an Inside Account Executive to join VergeSense. In this role, you'll be the connective tissue between inbound demand, our enterprise sales organization, and our small partner ecosystem. You'll respond to high-intent prospects, support enterprise deal execution through custom order documentation, and own the end-to-end order process for our small partner accounts. This is a high-visibility role that blends pipeline generation, sales operations, and partner account management — ideal for someone who thrives on variety and wants to develop a well-rounded foundation in B2B sales.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, sales development, sales operations, or a related B2B revenue role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical buyers and executive stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented approach to documentation; order forms need to be right the first time
  • Comfort working across multiple systems (CRM, CPQ, e-signature, billing platforms); experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, DocuSign, or similar tools is a plus
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and shift between high-volume inbound work and detail-heavy enterprise support
  • A collaborative mindset; this role works closely with AEs, Deal Desk, Legal, and Finance
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with intent data platforms (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Amplemarket, Demandbase, ZoomInfo)
  • Experience with AI tools and magenta (Claude, ChatGPT, etc)
  • Familiarity with subscription or SaaS pricing models
  • Exposure to channel or partner sales motions

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and qualify inbound leads generated through marketing campaigns, website activity, content downloads, demo requests, and third-party intent data platforms
  • Engage prospects quickly via email, phone, and chat to assess fit, uncover needs, and route opportunities to the appropriate sales channel
  • Maintain rapid response SLAs to maximize conversion on time-sensitive buying signals
  • Conduct discovery conversations to qualify prospects against our ideal customer profile
  • Own the full order lifecycle for small and mid-market partner accounts, from quote to closed-won
  • Generate quotes, send order forms, collect signatures, and process orders through our CRM and billing systems
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for small partners on renewals, expansions, and order-related questions
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the partner book of business
  • Maintain accurate records of all activity, opportunities, and orders in the CRM
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success, and RevOps to improve handoffs and process
  • Contribute to forecasting accuracy by keeping pipeline data current

Benefits

  • A high-impact role in an emerging industry leader
  • Competitive compensation and equity
  • Employer-sponsored medical
  • Dental and vision insurance (dependent on location)
  • Open Vacation policy: take time off when you need it
