This role involves operating machines that insert printed matter, such as letters or booklets into folders or envelopes. The operator will be responsible for setting up and adjusting the machine for efficient operation, overseeing output, and making necessary adjustments. The position requires familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment that can be set up and operated following step-by-step instructions, and the skill to perform minor clerical tasks related to machine operation and maintenance, such as record-keeping and labeling. Basic maintenance like cleaning and lubricating the equipment is also part of the role, as is the ability to identify and make basic adjustments for improper machine operation.
Requirements
- Familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment which can be set up and operated following a few step by step instructions
- Skill to operate the equipment
- Skill to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to the operation of the equipment
- Ability to identify if improper machine operation and make basic adjustments

Responsibilities
- Operate machines that insert printed matter, such as letters or booklets into folders or envelopes
- Set up and adjust the machine to operate efficiently
- Oversee output and make adjustments as necessary
- Maintain machine operating and maintenance records
- Write new identification labels for computer tapes
- Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment
- Identify if improper machine operation and make basic adjustments
