It’s the way you want to be treated. Position Summary: Provides clinical and clerical support relating to department activities. Performs diverse duties to provide support to physical medicine staff / department functions and systems to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Trained to assist in rehabilitation therapy treatments under the direct supervision of a PT/PTA, OTR/COTA, and/or SLP.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Transports patients from rooms and other areas.
- Provides clerical support to department.
Nice To Haves
- Previous tech experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Skillfully performs treatments as assigned under appropriate direction
- Transports patients from rooms and other areas
- Responsible for inventory and supply orders
- Completes data entry of billing in a timely manner
- Covers reception/clerical positions per department needs.
- Promotes a clean and safe environment of care, utilizing the SAFE error prevention habits
- Provides the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality in matters involving patients, coworkers, and the hospital by abiding by the Standards of Conduct
- Interpersonal skills are needed to communicate with other health care professionals and establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
- Uphold professional standards and responsibilities by achieving service competence and supporting evidence-based interventions to promote quality in practice.
- Includes Saturday and Sunday rotation work as applicable.
